The Miller Millermatic 252 Aluminum Spool Gun Package pairs the 252 MIG welder with a Spoolmatic 30A spool gun for aluminum MIG welding. This is the 200(208)/230 V single-phase version: it delivers 30-300 A, welds aluminum from 14 ga. to 3/8 in. and mild steel from 22 ga. to 1/2 in., and adds a dual cylinder rack with an elevated gun and cable rack.

Rated output is 200 A at 24 VDC with a 60% duty cycle and 250 A at 26.5 VDC with a 40% duty cycle, with 38 VDC maximum open-circuit voltage. Wire feed speed runs 50-700 IPM (1.3-17.8 m/min) for .023-.045 in. solid and stainless wire and .030-.045 in. flux-cored wire on 12 in. spools. Auto Gun Detect brings back the stored voltage, wire feed speed and timer values for whichever gun is triggered, whether MIG, spool or push-pull.

Besides the Spoolmatic 30A (130831) and the dual EZ-Change low cylinder rack (300337), the package includes a 15 ft MDX-250 MIG gun with Bernard AccuLock MDX consumables, a power cord and plug, a work cable and clamp, an argon-mix regulator with hose, extra contact tips, reversible drive rolls and factory-installed running gear. Spoolmate 200 Series spool guns also connect directly, and the large digital panel presets voltage, wire feed speed and the run-in, pre/postflow, burnback and stitch timers.
