The Miller Millermatic 255 Auto-Line is a 250-amp inverter pulsed MIG welder for MIG, flux-cored and pulsed MIG welding in light manufacturing and fabrication. Auto-Line accepts any single-phase input from 208 to 575 V with no manual linking, so the machine can move between facilities with different line voltages and copes with dirty or unreliable power.

Setup runs through a 7-inch color LCD, where Auto-Set Elite supplies predefined weld settings for operators of every skill level and program mode saves and recalls favorite settings. Pulsed MIG lowers heat input to reduce distortion on thin material, and the reduced spatter means less grinding and rework after welding. At 84 lb for the machine alone, this inverter MIG welder weighs more than 50 percent less than the Millermatic 252.

The machine can be mounted on EZ-Latch running gear to roll around the work area, and loosening the retaining knob and rotating the latches frees it for work cells and confined spaces. The package includes a 15 ft (4.5 m) Miller MDX 250 MIG gun that takes .035/.045 in. wire and Bernard AccuLock S consumables, a 10 ft power cord, a work cable and clamp with a 50 mm Dinse-style connector, a flow gauge regulator and gas hose, extra contact tips, reversible drive rolls and a material thickness gauge.
