The Miller PAPR II with T94i-R helmet is a powered air-purifying welding respirator for industrial welding and grinding. It guards against hazardous particles, metal fumes and mists, including hexavalent chromium and other alloy fumes in stainless steel work, and pairs a three-speed Gen 2 HEPA blower with a ClearLight 2.0 helmet that has a 44 sq in integrated grind shield.

The T94i-R combines ClearLight 2.0 lens technology with HDV optics, half-shade settings, four independent arc sensors for obstructed or low-amp welding, and a memory function that stores two presets. Its integrated HDV grind shield opens a 44 sq in clear view for grinding, the welding lens shows 9 sq in, and shade 5.0 side windows add peripheral vision. InfoTrack 2.0 tracks arc time and arc count for quoting, while a quick-release one-piece cover lens speeds up lens changes.

The Gen 2 blower measures 8.25 x 7 x 3.25 in, weighs 3 lbs and runs at 175, 195 or 215 LPM, with battery life of 10, 9 and 8 hours at those speeds. Each lithium-ion battery recharges in 3 hours and is rated for roughly 500 charges, and two come with the system. Digital controls with large push buttons, an LCD with filter timer, audible and vibrating alarms, four-point flexible headgear, a washable flame-resistant head seal and backpack-style shoulder straps complete the setup.
