Miller XMT 400 ArcReach Multiprocess Welder, Dinse, 15-425A, Auto-Line 208-575V

The Miller XMT 400 ArcReach Multiprocess Welder with Dinse connectors is a CC/CV power source for MIG, pulsed MIG, RMD, stick, TIG, flux-cored and air carbon arc gouging, with a 15-425 A amperage range. Auto-Line takes 208-575 V on single- or three-phase power, and the machine weighs 75 lb.

ArcReach lets operators adjust voltage at the wire feeder or remote instead of tracing cables back to the power source, Cable Length Compensation keeps the set voltage accurate over long weld cables, and Adjust While Welding allows changes with the arc on. Output spans 10-38 VDC with a 91 VDC maximum open-circuit voltage on DC current, and carbon arc gouging is rated for 5/16 in. (7.9 mm) carbons. The unit stands 17.25 in. high.

Applications include field and structural welding, process pipe, gouging, boat and yacht work, and refineries and power plants, across construction and fabrication, heavy equipment and shipbuilding. Weldable metals include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and specialty metals. With the ArcReach Heater accessory the system adds induction heating for preheat and bakeout up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 C), and Wind Tunnel Technology is part of the design.
