Miller XMT 400 ArcReach Multiprocess Welder, SuitCase 12 Feeder, BTB 300A Gun

The Miller XMT 400 ArcReach Multiprocess Welder MIG/Flux-Cored System pairs the power source with an ArcReach SuitCase 12 feeder and a Bernard BTB 300 A gun. Rated output is 400 A at 36 VDC on three-phase or 300 A at 32 VDC on single-phase, both at 60% duty cycle, and Auto-Line accepts 208-575 V.

ArcReach sends voltage changes over the existing weld cables, so voltage and wire feed speed are set at the feeder rather than at the power source, and operators avoid walking cluttered jobsites to reach the machine. Cable Length Compensation delivers the set voltage even hundreds of feet away, Adjust While Welding permits changes with the arc on, Auto-Process Select picks the process from the polarity applied, and connecting an ArcReach accessory locks out the panel controls.

MIG (GMAW), pulsed MIG, flux-cored welding, TIG (GTAW), RMD and air carbon arc cutting and gouging with 5/16 in. (7.9 mm) carbons are all supported, with a 15-425 A range, 10-38 VDC output and a 91 VDC maximum open-circuit voltage. Applications include field, structural and industrial welding and boat and yacht work, and the system is compatible with the ArcReach Heater for preheat and bakeout up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 C).
