The Miller XMT 450 CC/CV Multiprocess Welder covers stick, MIG and TIG with constant-current and constant-voltage output, and this version takes 230/460 V input. It is aimed at fabrication shops, maintenance and field repair jobs, and its compact, lightweight build travels easily between job sites. A standard 14-pin receptacle connects spool guns, feeders and remote controls.

Adaptive Hot Start makes stick (SMAW) electrodes easy to start without creating an inclusion, and Lift-Arc TIG (GTAW) strikes the arc without high frequency, which lowers the risk of electrode and work contamination. In stick and wire (MIG/GMAW) modes, infinite arc control allows finer tuning for out-of-position applications and hard-to-weld materials, and Wind Tunnel Technology keeps dirt, dust and debris away from the internal components.

A process selector switch reduces the control setup combinations while keeping every feature, a polycarbonate-blend cover guards the front controls against damage, and the large dual digital meters read clearly and can be preset for setting weld output. Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum are all within reach, and this unit is the 230/460 V version of the XMT 450 CC/CV.
