The Miller XR-Pistol is an air-cooled push-pull MIG gun for aluminum welding, built for light- to medium-industrial applications. This 198128 model is the 30 ft version with a quick disconnect, and it teams with XR-Control wire feeders to form a push-pull system for manufacturing, railcar and shipbuilding work.

Heavy-duty internal components are designed for long service life and precise wire feeding, and the feed cable liner can be replaced by itself, so a worn liner does not mean replacing the whole feed cable. FasTip and Bernard Centerfire contact tips fit the gun, both single-turn, quick-change designs. When paired with an XR-Control, trigger hold lets the welder run long beads without keeping the trigger pulled, which reduces fatigue.

Threaded head tubes swap quickly and rotate 360 degrees, and more than 30 styles in different bends and lengths are offered for hard-to-reach joints. In a push-pull setup the XR-Pistol works with XR-Control wire feeders. Net dimensions are 10.625 in. long, 1.875 in. wide and 7.375 in. high, and the gun weighs 2.2 lbs.
