Milwaukee's 4274-21 is a 1-5/8 in. magnetic drill kit whose permanent magnet base needs no electricity, keeping the drill locked to 1/4 in. steel even if the cord is unplugged or power cuts out. A 13 A motor drives a tool-free two-speed gearbox, with 475 RPM meant for annular cutters and 730 RPM for twist drills.

A partial magnet mode engages with a quarter turn, letting the operator line up the hole and make small adjustments before setting the full hold, which is rated at 2,000 lbs on 1 in. steel. The 3/4 in. Weldon quick-change chuck swaps cutters without extra wrenches. The base measures 7-1/2 x 3-3/4 in., and the drill stands 12-1/4 in. tall and weighs 30 lbs.
