MK Products CobraMig 300 Aluminum Push-Pull MIG Welder, 300A, 1-Phase 240/480V
The MK Products CobraMig 300 is a self-contained push-pull MIG welder that combines a digital power supply with a detachable digital wire feeder, rated 300 A at 60% duty cycle on 480 VAC input. Its patented push-pull drive works with analog or digital 14-pin push-pull guns, including the Python X, Cobra X and Prince X series, for long cable runs in aluminum, steel and stainless steel welding.
Input is single-phase: 240 VAC at 60 Hz and 50 A, or 480 VAC at 60 Hz and 30 A, with a 40 V DC maximum open-circuit voltage. Rated output is 9.0 kW at 30 V DC, and the 300 A at 60% rating applies on 480 VAC. Universal drive rolls feed .030 to 1/16 in. (0.8-1.6 mm) aluminum and solid steel, stainless steel or flux-cored wire from .030 to .045 in. (0.8-1.2 mm) without drive roll changes, and up to 8 weld memories can be changed from the gun.
The detachable digital feeder takes a 12 in. spool (plastic or wire basket), or a bulk wire drum through an optional adapter kit (005-0786). It can be positioned close to the joint while the power supply stays in a central spot, linked by optional interface cables of 25 ft, 50 ft or longer, and the CobraLoc lever releases it in one motion for rail or boom mounting. The unit rolls on a 4-wheel chassis with an integrated cylinder rack and measures 18.5 in. W x 34.5 in. H x 36 in. L.
