Optrel e3000X PAPR Welding Respirator, Panoramaxx CLT Silver Helmet, NIOSH P100

The Optrel e3000X PAPR with Panoramaxx CLT Silver welding helmet is a powered air-purifying welding respirator that sets the Crystal 2.0 lens in the wide-view Panoramaxx shell, for six times the field of view of a standard auto-darkening filter. The belt-worn blower's HEPA class Th3 filter stops more than 99.8% of particulates, and the system holds NIOSH P100 (42 CFR 84) certification.

The CLT lens pairs a 2.0 light state with Autopilot shade 7-12, which reads the amperage in use while a further sensor follows arc intensity, so switching between grinding, MIG and TIG needs no manual change. Five arc sensors, an external grind button, a tack welding setting, Class 1 angular dependency and twilight technology are built in. IsoFit headgear adjusts at three points, tightens with a rope and carries four washable, replaceable foam pads, and the 19.4 oz helmet recharges over micro-USB.

The e3000X blower splits filtered air between the mouth and nose and a cooling stream to the forehead at three flow levels from 200 to 240 nl/min. It checks airflow automatically at start-up, gives audible and visible alarms for a missing or clogged filter or low battery, weighs 3.5 lbs with filter, belt and battery, and runs about 12 hours per charge. A mesh storage bag, a spare front cover lens and a micro-USB cable come in the kit.
