The Optrel e3000X PAPR with Panoramaxx welding helmet is a powered air-purifying welding respirator whose helmet gives six times the field of view of a standard auto-darkening filter. Autopilot shade 7-12 adjusts the lens on its own, the belt-worn blower's HEPA class Th3 filter stops more than 99.8% of particulates, and the system holds NIOSH P100 (42 CFR 84) certification.

Autopilot reads the amperage in use and an extra sensor follows arc intensity, so moving between grinding, MIG and TIG needs no manual shade change. The HD lens has Class 1 angular dependency and true color view with a 2.5 light state, and twilight technology eases the return to light after the arc. An ergonomic nose piece brings the shell closer to the face for the wider view, a side knob raises or lowers it, and five arc sensors and an external grind button are built in. The 19.4 oz helmet recharges over micro-USB.

The e3000X blower splits filtered air between the mouth and nose and a cooling stream to the forehead at three flow levels from 200 to 240 nl/min. It checks airflow automatically at start-up, gives audible and visible alarms for a missing or clogged filter or low battery, weighs 3.5 lbs with filter, belt and battery, and runs about 12 hours per charge. A mesh storage bag, a spare front cover lens and a micro-USB cable come in the kit.
