Optrel Swiss Air Loose Fit PAPR System, TH3
Optrel's Swiss Air Loose Fit is a TH3 powered air-purifying respirator that works without a welding helmet or shield. A ventilated FR-fabric half-mask covers the nose and mouth and is fed filtered air under positive pressure, which assists breathing and avoids tiring resistance. Its headband adjusts freely, and no mask-fit test is required.
A small blower carried in a backpack-style unit feeds the mask through a Y-shaped hose. The air is cleaned in stages: a metal spark-protection grille stops hot or burning particles, a pre-filter removes coarser particles, and a TH3-class particulate master filter, rated by Optrel at 99.8% filtration, does the main cleaning.
A central control panel on the left chest strap shows filter loading and battery charge, and carries the on/off switch and stepless airflow control from 100 to 130 l/min. Altitude and temperature compensation runs automatically, and the battery is rated for 14 hours.
