Strong Hand Tools BuildPro MAX Welding Tabletop, 48 x 48 in., Nitrided Finish

The Strong Hand Tools BuildPro MAX welding tabletop is a 4 x 4 ft (48 x 48 in.) steel work surface with the nitrided (heat-treated) finish, which adds weld spatter, corrosion and wear resistance. Its 5/8 in. thick steel plate has a surface hardness of HV 550, with 5/8 in. holes running across the top in a 2 in. grid pattern.

Every BuildPro MAX tabletop shares the same 5/8 in. plate and 2 in. hole grid. The nitriding process pairs a mechanical polish with a post salt bath oxidative treatment, and the finished surface has a 0.37 coefficient of friction and a nitriding case depth of 0.0004-0.0008 in. A standard-finish version of this size is also made, and fitting leveling pad feet turns the top into a low-height welding and fixture table.
